DJ Mr. BS photo by Shitsu Record I was more than a little surprised to find there would be no turntables. After taking my records home and grabbing a few extra CDs to fill the gaps... and going on a wild goose chase for cables and power adapters that I was never going to get back with on time I returned to find the party in full swing and already packed to the gills. "Fashioably Late", not so surprisingly, hasn't really made itself at home in the Japanese vocabulary... almost immediately I was up as second batter, having no time to rework my set. I was pleased with how the set turned out. It was initially scheduled for 50min, then shortened to 30, but ultimately I was shown the door after 20min. I think Miles as the first track was probably my main mistake, from which I never fully recovered. BUT It was a truly raging party that held its own with the best of them. I ended up regaining conciousness around 9AM at the counter of the bar where the after party was held... a feat that, in some circles, would have earned me some strawberry tart in the pocket of my bluejeans, but in this case cost me little more than a hefty tip for the bartender, who was sleeping in a booth nearby. Massive Party. LEGENDARY.
